Contemplating the ferry

After a big breakfast we did the Distillery tour. After that, I thought we might just make the ferry to Skye. I was wrong.

So, a sit on the shoreline then a drive round the island and an hour later we drove on to the next ferry and set off to Skye.

Following in the footsteps of me and Mrs Smith around twenty years ago we visited the coral beach and then Dunvegan Castle. And it never rained once.

A quick(ish) drive back and we just made the ferry to Raasay. A visit to the art gallery, a walk up to the old ironworks and that was enough for the day.

Dinner and chat in the Raasay hotel followed by chess in the library.

Perfect.
