Blackwattle Bay

It's cold and miserable in Blackheath, so I've taken myself off to Sydney where it's also pretty cold, and very wet, but about 15' warmer.

There was a break in the rain so I walked Billy around Blackwattle Bay.
It was named by early settlers sent to gather timber from its mangroves and often used as a hide-out for escaped convicts and bushrangers on-the-run.
There are still a few remnant mangroves in a couple of inlets.
