On Top Of The World

After tea and coffee on our balcony for an  hour, it was gone midday when we decided on a drive to Krasi, Lasithi Plateau, Crete, as it was a bit overcast to go to the beach - but did brighten up mid afternoon.

Just outside this mountain village is this American car on top of an Evergreen storage container which is so typical of Greece - you never know what you'll see!  Processed in Kodak Porta 160NC film preset.

We had a few hours at Krasi, walking around the shops and enjoying an hour at a taverna. The extra photo is of a giant 'Platanos' tree in the village square that is a protected ancient monument and Crete treasure.

I've posted early as we're off for an early evening meal to catch the England World Cup match that's on tv at 9pm here (7pm UK).
