Six

At 07:58 this morning there was a 6.1  earthquake in Osaka. Thankfully, it felt more like a 5 in Kobe. That’s as high as I ever want it to go!  It was a vivid reminder of the destructive  power of mother nature.

Kobe got off lightly with only the inevitable travel inconveniences as train lines stopped. Safety measures meant that gas supplies automatically cut off and elevators stopped too.

Earthquake plan updated. Evacuation pack renewed. Hugs to the woofer whose first response was to get under the sturdy coffee table.

It could have been so much worse...

It’s certainly one way to mark my 6th year on blip!
