Sunday in Greenwich

Da’an the Thames from Westminster to Greenwich and a bit of a lunch outside at that there market, before we had a nose into the Maritime Museum and in particular the Great British Seaside Photographic exhibition. Thought Simon Roberts stuff was a bit special and worth the entrance money alone and then we meandered up to the meridian, H gambolling ahead of us, the lamb.
But thirsty work, so we had to stop at the Gypsy Moth to take in liquid and glory be, the last ten minutes of the Germany game, and sensationally enough, they were losing - and not only that, the pub was packed with noisy Mexicans!
To town on that DLR and up to the Sky Garden to enjoy the views and then a walk through the deserted streets of the City (it was like being in a zombie movie) to Pizza Union. Rather good, and for London, amazingly inexpensive. I do hope they pay their workers and it isn’t one of these gig economy operations.
So a good place to chat to F&H about life and London and stresses on the young; all I envy about them is their youth, really. But what a great weekend we’ve had with them; I hope we haven’t left them knackered for work and Monday morning. And I guess that includes the SK who has work too! Now, what will Monday bring... what time is that train to Walton on the Naze?
