Birthday

Today is poorly boy's 3rd birthday. It's been quite a good day, all in all. He did the whole presents thing yesterday as we were at work and childcare today and then straight out for tea and to Sign Hi Say Hi club so he can be forgiven for not really having a scooby doo what was going on or why we kept singing happy birthday at him! He enjoyed his tea and the cake though.

As I hinted yesterday poorly boy's birthday is always tinged with a small amount of sadness as he had a very rocky start and was in special care for some time. He had an operation at 3 days old which were warned he might not return from. But our little fair haired warrior did us proud and is the most amazing character now, so full of joy and energy. It's hard to believe he was so vulnerable as a newborn.
