Birds of South Uist

Last day on the island - I had a drive around looking for corncrake habitat, when I spotted a buzzard. I managed to get a place to stop the car and wound down the window for photos. It was one buzzard to start with, then another one turned up - see extras. The first one was calling regularly, so I wondered if it was a juvenile calling for food, but neither looks like a juvenile, so perhaps it was a female calling to the male to bring her food for the youngsters.  I drove a bit further on, then spotted an owl hunting. This time I cheekily stopped in a passing place and got shots of hunting and then sitting and posing for me.
