First beetroot crop today - we thought we were clearing space; you know. The killing of innocent vegetables in order to let other vegetables grow despite them not having any greater right to be alive than the ones we killed.

As it turns out. We didn’t kill them. We cooked them. And when I say ‘we’ I mean Himself. Himself roasted them, then cut them and then created pickle sauce with sugar and balsamic and vinegar and dropped them in.
