Mother and child....

As I was walking along the canal this morning I almost fell over this Mallard as she was hunkered down at the side of the water and it was only as she got into the water that I realised she'd been hiding a duckling.  I always feel sorry for ducks and geese as they seem to have such a hard time of it when they're rearing a family but the sight of these two made it an easy decision as to what would be my blip today.

We've had a lovely family day and now we're all set for a nice relaxing evening. Many thanks for the Hrts, comments and stars for yesterday's blip.
