Life from city to village

Good Food and Gardeners World

Today my daughter and I went down to Birmingham to the BBC Good Food Show and Gardener's World events. Unlike clearly many, who turned up with wheelie boxes, we hadn't really anticipated buying much. Much to the consternation of some who wanted us to fork out hundreds for various gadgets, but we did get some bits. We bought a sushi making kit, some specialist spices that supermarkets just don't sell, alium bulbs and a succulent. I also joined the RSPB. There were several charities trying to persuade us, but went for the RSPB. Difficult to explain why, but I've always felt closer to them.

Came away having tried lots of foods - none of the alcohol (I was driving), got a couple of free pens and canvas bags... A good day out.
