She had spent a couple of hours...

... attending to the fine detail of her 1940's outfit, for the Forties Day.  Then she forgot that mobile phones had only been invented 40+ years later. She didn't think anyone had noticed her checking for messages and sneaking it back into her bag.

I had decided that such a mobile phone shot would make a good blip, but I wandered around Valley Gardens for well over an hour before I finally spotted this single instance of someone in period dress with the phone in hand.

I also spent time watching people dancing to a very good local band playing Glenn Miller numbers. I liked this couple smiling at the end of a dance (see extra), presumably because no toes were injured during 'Tuxedo Junction'.
