Border Tails

By Swannie

The sunshine after the rain.

Dad phoned last night and asked if I wanted to join him and John for their usual Sunday card game, they were holding it today as Dad is going out with my sister and her in laws for a Father’s Day meal tomorrow. Alas, Dad was absolutely full of the cold, something that he probably picked up when he was on holiday last week in Budapest.

We played three games of canasta and drank some wine. After a wonderful meatball dish that Dad had made, John and I went for the bus. It was a day of heavy showers, but also some lovely spells of sunshine. This is the view of Balcarres street from Dad’s window. I love these old tenements.
