"Oh captain, my captain..."

Robin Williams' character in Dead Poets Society encouraged the young mind in his care to look at the world from a different perspective, a different view - stood on a desk.

I happened to be trying to gain some perspective today when I noticed this view from where I sat - underneath some tables.

It made me think... About perspective, about a view, about a different way...

Not everything is easy, is it? If it was perhaps the world would be a different place. But life throws hurdles in our way, the key thing is how we get over those hurdles and achieve what we really want, what we deserve...

Perhaps the perspective needs to be on the flip side, underneath, around the corner, just out of reach... That way it'll be so much more deserved when it finally comes into focus...
