Speke Hall

Had a lovely time at Speke Hall with Janet and Margaret. We had a walk around the grounds and the secret garden before going on the Tudor Tour. It was very interesting but can't remember much of what the man said now. His talk was punctuated with planes flying just above our heads taking off from the airport runway then to cap it all gun shots, we were told that was the bird scarer on the runway!! It started to rain just as we got inside the house. Took quite a few photos and I've put some in the extras. We had a little taster of the Wet Nelly tasted like a very sticky fruit cake.
