Da Muckle Shetland Gadderie

A breezy day, but packed full of sunshine and warm too.

Weekend off work, and out with washing after breakfast.  After sorting a few things in the house, I headed to Gulberwick to meet mam and Elise.  I went into the loft, grabbed the tent and all the camping gear, and then headed north to Brae.  Having a night away with friends.  A lovely time sitting out enjoying the fine evening, and Madeline made tea.  

Me, mam and Elise were on a mission, not only us, loads of volunteers have been given a stretch of road to clean.  The main road from Unst in the very north, to Sumburgh in the south has been cleaned, and other side roads too.  Much needed, as we gathered 14 bags, 2 exhausts and more.  Our area started from the Black Gaet junction, to the Loch of Brindister.  2 miles of cleaning, in 3 hours.  Here's mam and Elise with the finished work in Gulberwick.
