Gardening at the Railway station.
I joined a few members of the local Prospects group to do some weeding and watering at the railway station for nearly two hours this morning.
The dandelions and mares tails, buttercups and bindweed needed bringing under control. We filled ten bin bags! It was my first serious gardening session with them and my back and calves ached afterwards.
Paul and me went shopping to Blackburn, as I needed to pay a bill and buy some notebooks.
Then on to Tesco in Accrington to buy a new bigger television.
We had a 26 inch for many years.
This was like a Father's Day present for Paul.
He works long hours so deserved it.
He is very thrilled with his 40 inch Blaupunkt.
We have a new Virgin package that can be linked to two other devices.
Useful for visits to the caravan.
I am pleased to now have the DVD of The Girl on the train.
It shall be feet up and watching avidly this evening.
The sun has come out now, so is it a lovely evening.
Our group have adopted the station and we are responsible for the flower planters on the station and the food growing area behind the platform.
It was mixed weather, low cloud and the promise of rain but only light drizzle, so the plants and herbs needed watering.
