The trees took quite a beating yesterday, from Storm Hector, and some look decidedly sad today.  This does tend to happen every year, just as they are covered in leaves.

I've heard these birds a lot, but didn't know what they were - am really pleased to have caught this one, and now know that it is a linnet :)
