The Lagoon at Kaiteriteri
I had a lovely morning at the Kaiteriteri Lagoon with Riwaka7 and V1k1 who had come with her husband, the Forrester, to explore our new hunting ground for birds.
The birds were out in full force and we photographed kereru, kingfishers, shag, tern, heron, ducks and pied stilts, most of which I have blipped many times, so looked for something different today.
I kept coming back to this scene looking across the lagoon towards Kaiteriteri beach. The cloud effects were amazing and it was a bonus to see them reflected in the still water of the lagoon which was nearing high tide.
For those folk who wonder where kingfishers come from - I can tell you, they grow on trees. Check out the extra.
