No one knows the day...
"No one knows the day today before the sun goes down"
-Anis Basim Moujahid
All looked normal, when we got up this morning. I got ready for work and I let the dogs out. They followed me to the car - all was still well. Biscuit went behind the car to sniff something - when he came back, he was very lame. Nothing had happened! He has been sniffing for maybe 15 secs and he went from walking normally to liming for no reason.
I thought that maybe he had a cut is pad on something or maybe got a splitner in his pad, but I couldn't find anything, when I looked at the paw.
I put the boys in the car and we left. I went to a meeting, so the boys had to wait in the car for a couple of hours. It was noon when I looked at Biscuit again. He was still limping. My heart sank. Biscuit has been injured all spring and he was finally fit and well again - until today...
I rang our doggie chiropractor and luckily she could see us already this afternoon.
I had a training session with Hero and Gollum whilst I waited for Biscuit's appointment.
Biscuit's shoulder was out and was put right. The chiropractor said that he had probably stepped into a hole or something - just bad luck. Sadly he was just as lame after the adjustment, which made us worry if we had missed something. We checked his paw and his foot, but all looked right. So I was told to rest him and if he is still lame Tuesday, I will have to come back.
I had an errand near Næstved, so I arranged to meet my dad for a meal. It was good to see him and catch up.
I then took the boys for a walk along the canal. The first walk of the day as I didn't want to let Biscuit use his leg until the chiropractor had seen him.
Luckily Biscuit was walking better, so it looks like he is recovering even though it looked disappointing just after his treatment. I made a small video and sent to the chiropractor and she was pleased to see that he was improving after all.
We are thinking that he is probably just sore and will feel better over the next couple of days. Keep your fingers crossed, please!
Home at 9 pm and soon it is time for bed.
Happy weekend
