12.9C with early rain then mild with some cloud. Very nice red sky at sunset.

Apothecary7 had her day off today. We decided to go to Broughty Ferry and visit Caffe Nero. The coffee was good but it was very noisy. Sometimes it gets that way. It is the nature of the premises. The result was grumpiness.

We had watched a program on Sweets last night on BBC4 (Nigel Slater) and inspired by it went to the sweet shop and came out with some favourites. Then we went to M&S and bought things for lunch and dinner. The thought of this delicious food and sweets would dispel the grumpiness you might think, but no.

We put the things in the car and had a walk round Broughty Ferry with a view to finding things to blip. We found some things of interest on the outside of an old building. Photos were taken. You might think this would dispel the grumpiness, but no. I have chosen to post a dark image to represent the grumpy mood.

When we got back home we took Maeve the Deerhound for a walk. We decided not to go round our usual route as the field would be wet from the early morning rain. We thought this might dispel the grumpiness, but no.

Later there were cups of tea and sweets before dinner ... You might think this would dispel the grumpiness ... and it may have started some dissipation thereof ... may have ... grump grump.
Oh well, perhaps tomorrow will be better.

P.S. No Maeves were grumped at during the course of this grumpy day.
