My bench garden...

...a work in progress. The bench could be rubbed down and repainted, but for now I thought I’d gather together various pots and plants. Hopefully the bedding plants will begin to flower soon.

A better day at work, headache wise, as it gradually eased off. At lunchtime we walked up Pottergate and round the edge of the city (following the line of the old city walls) back through Chapelfield gardens. A quick look around Primark at t shirts. Pay day next week and I need something new for my holiday, and it doesn’t need to have a label! I’m very easy to please when it comes to having something new for myself. I saw a few that were ok. I reckon I could kit myself out for my holiday for under £20.

Back at work I seemed to spend the rest of the afternoon on the phone to people who are being made redundant. I think I am a bit more patient and understanding than some, so the calls were long. I didn’t get much else done, except prepare some bits to take home for tomorrow. With my washing machine being delivered and Henry who needs collecting, (his final exam is last thing tomorrow, but finishes after the school bus leaves) it is an opportunity to see how I get on working from home. I’m hoping I’ll get lots done - no phone so I’ve no excuse not to! I’m quite looking forward to it and have several lists at the ready!!

Home at 6.20 feeling shattered. Mollie had cooked dinner so after I’d eaten I spent time planting up some bedding plants (the ones I grew on from plug plants) and arranging them in various buckets and bowls on the bench. Inspired by a blip friend who has a bench with a collection of stones and other lovely things!
