Meet the Morgans

Most of us got up early whilst I left Chris and Amelie to sleep as it had been a long drive and a late night yesterday. Couldn't leave them too long as we had to be in York by 10am as we had booked the Jorvik Centre for that time (with it being half term, we didn't fancy waiting in a queue for ages). The centre was brilliant, interesting for everybody and Amelie wasn't too freaked out by the viking models... We had coffee/hot chocolate/tea afterwards and then had a walk around the pretty little streets. We went to Cafe Rouge for lunch (god bless Tesco vouchers) where we had arranged to meet Karen and Colin too. After a yummy lunch - and an encounter with a fellow Penicuikian (honestly, this happens everywhere we go!) who recognised my Mum's accent - we headed off for another wander. A grumpy and tired Amelie fell asleep and to save us carrying her we decided to go to the pub. Except Granny and Papa who carried on shopping! After a ridiculously long quick detour to Morrisons, we headed back to the cabin and got the fire going. Chris and I were on dinner tonight and had made the chilli already, so it was an easy one!

A very lovely day!
