Good Neighbours
A grand event at Granton harbour to which we’re invited as residents. The unveiling of the refurbished Gunpowder Store. Soon to become a show flat and sales and admin offices. And at some future date... (holding breath) passed on for "community use." All very laudable.
The SK was pinned a long time by one of the two head honchos who impressed on her his almost saint-like virtuousness.
I meanwhile yapped away at the finance director about other laudable aspects of the development. Affordable housing? Don’t be silly, the proposed Marina of course.
Off to dentist and later a meet with G to move things along, at Hemma. All good. And onward to the Diggery Dogs! And who was there, but Rod, who we didn’t know. But his cousin is the Rezillos drummer. We bonded over how distraught we were at Jim Clark’s death. We may still be getting over it. And Johannes and his family, on holiday from Nuremberg. He seemed genuinely surprised we’d heard of the place. I didn’t say how.
