30 Days Wild Day 12 - Wood Avens
A busy day round home. Nothing of particular interest.
Still sticking with the 30 days wild challenge I had a wander looking for blips. Looking for blips in this challenge is I find really making me look closely at the wildlife around me. I had expected more birds and insects to feature in the blips. However avoiding the garden is meaning birds are not predictable and I have never found insects easy.
Wood Avens (Geum urbanum) is a plant of shady woodland edges and hedgerows. Seeds are spread by being caught in animals fur. In the past the roots were used a flavouring for ales and as a spice.
