X Marks the Spot...

...well it's supposed to.

Bought this used drill press a couple of days ago. One of the lasers that project the X onto the workpiece wasn’t working, so I removed it — not an easy task. (Replacement part is no longer available from Ryobi.) I connected the laser to a battery on my bench and it seems to be working. Further investigation is required.

Replacing the laser is going to be even harder than removing it was. Good thing I like a challenge.
