Hard road

The stone and metal are hard materials for the street surface. Both can tolerate the rain and snow. Today we got some snow or rather sleet, but on the main streets like this, it was all water after having landed. A diagonal band with Latin text runs over the street ans especially the kerbs. Now the rainwater covered all of the band.
