John Day Fossil Beds

Here we are at the fossil beds of which there are three different ones.  These ones here are called Painted Hills.  The first one we went to was the Clarno unit and did find one fossil (extra) of 2 leaves.  I looked for others but didn't find any that weren't pointed out.  There were also a few logs that were petrified way up high.
