Small Skipper

The weather has been lovely today, warm and sunny.  Did some gardening this morning then went to a friends surprise birthday party lunchtime.  It took me longer than normal to get there and I had to leave early to get back for school, one of the downsides of the job!  Still she was having a lovely time and the cake was so pretty.  Our mums were friends so we have known each other all our lives.
I went for a walk over the brickfield lakes at teatime, it was looking pretty with the waterlillies out and lots of insects.  Chose the skipper as blip although my favourite was the spider going to inspect its prey.
