We drove to Coniston and enjoyed coffee and cake at the Bluebird Cafe by the lake. Then a wander through the fields to Coniston Hall and back. 

I was taking photos by the shore when something flew into the scene ....... not a bird as I first thought but a Hercules plane, and then a second appeared.  Not much time to prepare so I shot and hoped.  There's an extra showing the approach but I preferred this view south as the main blip.
