Jacaranda Tree

Commonly called Jacaranda, scientific name Jacaranda Mimosifolia. It is a tropical tree from Central and South America. It is a evergreen, deciduous tree that blooms in the beginning of summer with bright and beautiful purple flowers. It is quite remarkable in color and as it blooms for a very short time, it sheds purple petals on the ground, almost looking like purple snow.

It grows large and very easy in California. Temps today were close to normal at 86 degrees fahrenheit with a beautiful blue sky.
