Books
The image on the right of a stack of paperbacks is ‘Penguins’ a linocut print by Steven Hubbard. This is part of a current exhibition at the Pier Arts Centre: the Society of Wood Engravers – 80th Annual Exhibition. An exhibition of wood engravings and relief prints from the UK and around the world, it is open until Saturday this week, 16th June 2018.
The photo on the left is the current display in the main window at Stromness Books and Prints, Graham Place, Stromness. This tiny bookshop is stuffed full of wonderful books. It has been called ‘Scotland’s only drive-through bookshop’ because, as there is no pavement outside – the road goes right up to the door – you could drive right up and be served directly into your car window.
