Remembrance

A little early I know, but we have been busy in our house with the British Legion already. William and I have delivered boxes of poppies for various buisnesses to sell during the campaign. Carys and I collected in Town on Saturday and William is determined to collect on Saturday coming.

When Carys was at the Legion on Saturday, she mentioned she had to do a Show and Tell on Remembrance. George, who is 80, and very much in charge of Hitchin Legion with his wife Mary promised to find some information for her. They rang me yesterday asking me to drop in to collect the stuff for Carys. I expected a couple of leaflet, but what I got was a whole teaching pack! I plan to extract some info for Carys and then pass it on to school, who I hope will utilise it fully. On first glance it is a really good pack, even showing how it links into National Curriculum. Bless George, I can't believe that in his busiest month of the year he had time to sort this out for a five year old.
