Ash tree

This beautiful ash tree in the field behind the church looks healthy enough, with bunches of seeds, or spinners, hanging on their own now that the leaves are down.
I looked it up in my Observers book of Trees, where the description is almost poetic. It tells me that the seeds take two springs to germinate, and that many ash trees do not produce any at all!
So the re-generation of healthy ash trees is going to be lengthy and difficult.
Incidentally, ash trees can live for 200 years.
How can we stop the virus spreading ?
