Bracklinn Falls
Continuing the waterfall theme from yesterday ... Somehow we've lived in Perth for over 25 years without ever visiting Bracklinn Falls at Callander. It's a beautiful location, and I'm looking forwards to visiting again when there is more water in the river.
My blip is just a part of the falls, where the rock looks a bit like a ruined dam. It would be hard to photograph the falls as a whole, except perhaps with a drone, because they are in a deep gorge with a lot of surrounding vegetation.
From the falls we followed Keltie Water upstream almost as far as Arivurichardich (which I find even harder to say than spell). On the way we saw goldfinches and sand martins.
A final treat (for me, if not Mrs P) was spotting an old ROC bunker - see extra. These were small underground posts for observers in the event of a nuclear attack.
