Sofa bed day!

No 1 son came down with the tummy bug last night. The fact that it's easier for him to get to the loo in time if he doesn't have negotiate his way out of the top bunk and down the stairs meant that we unfolded the sofabed for him. I played the dutiful mother and slept downstairs with him (the fact that I just had to shout through the hall to ask if he was OK rather than crawl out of bed and come downstairs to do so had nothing to do with it, honest!)

Feeling a little better this morning the advantages of having a bed in the room with the telly soon became clear. No2 son climbed in and they held me prisoner, making me watch Saturday morning kids TV (some of it was quite funny, but it's not TISWAS). Unlike the rest of the country our weather was crap so I didn't put up a lot of resistance. Has to be some silver lining to sick kids and rainy days.

It didn't take them long to figure out that this may a good place to watch Dr Who from. This temptation had to be resisted. hiding beind the sofa is one thing, in it is a whole different matter.
