A box full of goodies
A few weeks ago I picked up a brochure from school for Operation Christmas Child by Samaritan's Purse. It's an incentive that delivers gifts and hope to children worldwide who are living in situations of war, poverty, disease, and natural disasters. It also helps spread the word of God and let's children know that they are special and loved no matter their situation.
Anyway, so I've had this brochure sitting in my room for a few weeks and I've been meaning to fill a shoebox with little gifts but I never really did anything - until today that is.
I went to the store and picked out a bunch of little things that a little girl might like: stickers, stamps, a notepad, a jewellery making kit, some hair clips, etc. I was so excited to get home and fill the box. In fact, I want to put together several more.
So here's a picture of the box (and a portion of the brochure). Unfortunately my photography skills aren't good so the picture doesn't do it justice, but lets just say, I really hope a little girl somewhere in the world gets to smile and enjoy Christmas morning a little better this year.
