Lunch in Prague
My girlfriend and I decided to go to Prague for the day. It is 3 hours on the train and costs only €17 return. We wasted a little time getting lost but we eventually found the Charles Bridge and a lovely spot for lunch. It was a glorious day and the tourists were out in force. There were a lot of Hens and Bucks parties and I remembered that Prague is a favourite destination, especially for the British. This one had their own photographer in tow,
We decided to slowly head back to the train station when a massive thunderstorm stuck. Our umbrellas were pretty useless against the deluge and we ducked in and out of doorways along the way but we ended up completely soaked. Fortunately the new train station has many shops and we were able to buy some dry trousers for the long trip home. We had to change trains half way and I miscalculated the connection so we were forced to drink a glass of wine at the cafe on the platform while waiting for the train.
I am not sure if I would do this again but we did have a lovely day apart from the drenching.
