Piety

I always claim to be an atheist! But at the same time i believe in superstition (funny ones though) !! I do not believe in going to a temple but i do believe that if one is pure in the heart good will happen to them !! And that is when i discover that i do not believe in religion but i definitely believe in a super natural power always around us !! And fire is the purest form, not because a zillion people say that but because i believe in it!!

I don't know if God exists!! But i know that his is the most misused name in our histories !! All religious texts say "All humans are equal" but we discriminate the most on the basis of this religion itself... What a hypocrite world we live in ..

And the phrase i have started to resent the most in recent times is "In the name of God" !! Think about it .. most of the fights around the globe happen because of religious inclinations!!

And when i once discussed this with a very dear friend he said, "In India, religion might play a bad role in a lot of sectors, but the faith and belief keeps the people going even towards the last years of their life"!!

Its so true !! In India, you will hardly see old people going through Old age Crisis !! As their one belief (How much so ever superficial it may seem), becomes their life and gives them hope when they have lost their youth and are headed towards the end of life!!
