I am the Good Shepherd.....

Often we see things on a regular basis and take them for granted. I have seen this picture so many times over the years but today took a proper look. It has the well known text from John 10:14 "I am the Good Shepherd....." It has been on the wall at St Nicholas Church, Sulham for around 126 years. I also looked today at the little notice mounted beneath it which reads, "In Loving memory of the Rev John Wilder, Rector of Sulham for 56 years, who entered into rest Aug 2nd 1892, Erected by his sorrowing widow.", it was presented by his wife. What amazing commitment to do the job for 56 years!
