Scattered along the log
The season for these orange pore fungi should be long over, but it's interesting what you find if you're prepared to fossick around in the undergrowth.
There were dozens of these wee fungi scattered on this piece of rotting wood. The biggest of them was less than a centimetre across, the smallest probably only a milimetre. I doubt the babies will have a chance to grow much - it's far too cold now. I don't know how they've survived this long.
