The first toad of the year

I know I am a day behind getting this in. It has been a really hectic week preceded by two almost as hectic weeks. The choral group we're in had its spring concert last night and since we spent way too much time trying to learn the German for half of the Brahms pieces we did , there were extra Tuesdays for 2 week , then this week T-Th- Fr and a Sat performance  trying to get through Triumphlied with in between frantic gardening  trying to get the vegetable garden weeded. I haven't been able to keep up with the flower beds it's rained so much , the weeds are having a field day ( ha- ha).So I broke down and bought a flame weeder which someone other than me has been using to flame the weeds off the garden because otherwise it would never be planted. I put the tomatoes in tonight. Yay. After he flamed the edge for the second time , I found this little guy hopping around . Very glad he wasn't toasted accidentally!
