Open Studios- with tea and mud
One of my first visitors today to Open Studios was a five-year-old girl called Zoe.
Within minutes of arriving she was busy doing some mud paintings.
And what did she do? She covered her hands with mud and placed them on the paper. Check out the extra photo.
The earliest known drawings of humans date back to 35,000-40,000 years and they are hand stencils found in Indonesia – just like Zoe.
My tea installation – every teabag I have used in the past month- all 108 of them- caused some interest/amusement and triggered off conversations about tea.
My mystery lodger in the Art Shed caused some hilarity.
Altogether a very good day with lots of lovely interesting people.
