Stonehaven Swimming Pool - Finn with Uncle Ben

Haven’t been at the pool since I was about 12 years old but I remember loving the chute. My husband broke the tips of his two front teeth here when he was about 30 years and before I met him. Anyway now that Ben and Hayley are settled, we all headed down yesterday. Unfortunately, after all the gorgeous weather, today dawned with a wet sea mist. Undeterred we were at the pool for 10.15 a.m and all was going ‘swimmingly’ until Finn took a gulp of the very salty water and promptly wanted out. Ollie, Stephen and Ben persevered and just loved it. Lunch at the garden centre followed by road train out to Dunnotar Castle. However thick mist meant that we couldn’t see it. Went for waffles and ice- cream and then headed home. Poor Ben and Hayley looked exhausted! But we’ll be back!
