to sit Down on the Job

Happily a picture of my two workmen friends who have been guarding a hole in the road for the last six months, has appeared in our local newspaper.

That immediately spurred our road builders in to action concerning the long awaited repair. Rather than have a deep hole it has now been covered with a large metal plate.  There is logic there somewhere....

I never knew it before but the chap on the right is called Pot Hole Syd.

They now have chairs and a table and someone has even provided them with drinks in order to help  speed their labours....
