Bird bath

We took a photographic walk down the hill to the Bluff at Mt Riverview today and came upon a rock pool with delighted birds frolicking in the water. Again we had the pleasure of finding a bird we hadn't seen before. It is a white naped honeyeater seen here mixing it happily with red browed finches. Sitting quietly in the bush we were excited to catch a glimpse of a spotted pardelot, a rare and wonderful sighting. Many photos of mountain scenery later we wandered back for a very nice steak and a glass of the best pinot.
