Snowy evening
I see the UK has ground to a halt again. Everyone I know down south seems to have the day off because of the snow (according to Facebook) and nice as a day off is, it did make me remember the snowy times down in London and be glad I'm not there.
As soon as you saw the first snowflake you rushed to the tube no matter what time of the afternoon, pushing old ladies out of the way in the hope of making it home at some time that evening. One time it took Cyclops five hours to drive the eight miles home from work and that was through the flat countryside of Hertfordshire.
On the whole Scotland seems much more set up for extreme weather.
Today though, with around 2cm of snow, I missed my dentist appointment because Ferry Road was at a standstill. I left an hour before my appointment for a journey that usually takes 15 mins. No luck, at the time of my appointment I was only half way there so I phoned up and rearranged (not the only one apparently) and went swimming instead. The swimming pool was very quiet so it wasn't all doom and gloom.
This is nothing compared to Boston of course!
