Terracotta Warriors

Went to see the exhibition at Liverpool's World Museum. It was very impressive but highlighted the brutality of the regime: concubines slaughtered and buried with the emperor, workers killed so that secrets of the mausoleum would not be revealed etc. etc...
We also had to sit through a glossy presentation about how wonderfully perfect and cultured China is. No mention of human rights issues.
So, fabulous to see but definitely left a bit of a bad taste.
