Plitvice National Park

Blippers Paradise.  Hundreds of magnificent waterfalls cascading into 16 green/turqoise lakes.  Raging water rushing under wooden walkways and sometimes disappearing into holes in the ground only to appear as another waterfall further on.  A minibus from the campsites, a three carriage bus ride to the highest lake, a very long walk and a boat ride led us to a welcome lunch and a tiring walk back to the minibus 6 hours later.  All in all a wonderful day when we have walked more than we have managed for years and taken so many pictures that just don't seem to do justice to this amazing place.  The portrait picture in the extras shows a coach load of people on one of the walkways about halfway up on the left just to give scale to three of the lakes in the picture.  The collage is of some of the wildlife we spotted on our way.  Resting tomorrow, so don't expect a repeat performance!
