Merida
Roman remains don't come like this in Britain. This Theatre and the adjoining amphitheatre impressed and are still used today for various art festivals. The approach over the long Roman bridge helped as did the other random Roman remain one came across.
The lunch time tapas met with much approval.
Merdia was en route between Trujillo and Seville airport when DS#1 and Charlotte A had a flight to catch.
Tricia, DS#2 and I then moved on to our garden house in Barbate on the Costa del Luz. A wander around the seaside town before heading to a fish restaurant - well pretty well a tuna restaurant - for what I though was the best meal we had had to date.in Spain. Very local and very authentic.
Smoked tunas, salted tunas, grilled tuna as well as grilled squid, octopus salad and patatas bravas.
