Thali started as an Indian street food truck at Glastonbury Festival and grew to be restaurant in Bristol, then another, then another. It's a relaxed place to eat and the food is deeply tasty. A year ago a Thali restaurant opened in Oxford. But very suddenly, two weeks ago, it closed. It seems - though it's hard to find reliable information - that the Oxford restaurant was losing lots of money and threatening the future of all the others. 

Tonight we are staying very close to the Thali in Easton so went to contribute our little bit to keeping them afloat.


An extra for Kendall and other peony fans - it's the only time of year the front garden looks any good so here they are again even though I have exceeded my quota.
